Welcome to Active Stillness

This is a space for anyone who’s  struggling with the impacts of trauma, feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, anxious — or simply exhausted from holding it all together.

I’m Anna, a trauma-informed yoga teacher and mother of three, including one child with extra needs. Like many of the people I now work with, I found yoga not as a fitness goal, but as a way to reconnect with myself after becoming a mum, having a tricky start with our daughter and needing to look after myself to allow me to look after others.

What I offer now is shaped by that journey. I support people who are carrying a lot. We all have times in life where emotionally, physically, or mentally we need extra support. At Active Stillness we do this through practices that soothe the nervous system and help you find wellbeing, safely and gently.

I have also spent 10 years working for NGO's and am passionate in supporting charities and community groups through my trauma informed yoga programmes or programmes for burn out. I used training in trauma to work alongside a charity supporting sex workers in Johannesburg for 18 months. I have run programmes on burnout for leaders in the NHS and trauma informed programmes locally in Bath for for Oasis Bath and Bath Mind and Bath Carers

Whether you're here for 1:1 sessions, trauma-informed resources, or you are looking to find some time for yourself and some space to breathe, you’re in the right place. There's no pressure to be anything other than yourself.

Come as you are. This is your invitation to rest and find grounding.

Anna is a Registered Yoga Teacher, trained and qualified in Trauma Informed Yoga, Yin Yoga, Aerial Yoga, Prenatal Yoga & Hypnobirthing Birth Education.

Restorative

We offer practices that invite calm, connection, and balance – without pressure to change or perform. It's not about fixing yourself; it's about listening to your body and responding to its needs with compassion and understanding.

Inclusive

Everyone is welcome here. Our approach is body-aware, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-informed. Come as you are. We listen with humility and a willingness to learn, holding space for all identities, experiences, and access needs.

Supportive

Whether you’re showing up tired, anxious, curious, or unsure – it’s all welcome. We meet you where you are, offering safety, care, gentle humour, and a non-judgemental space that honours your pace.
